Without fail, kitchens and bathrooms add the most value to your home.
If you are considering remodeling either room, make sure you take your time and research your options. When it comes to bathrooms, there a lot to consider. Make sure you do your research.
Once of the major decisions to consider is whether you want to have a tub or just a shower. The American Institute of Architects says that the tub-less bathroom is growing in popularity. Its annual Home Design Trends Survey found that more than 60% of homeowners preferred a stall shower without a tub in 2013. Compare that to 49% in 2012, the first year they specifically surveyed about tub-less bathrooms.
So as of right now, going tub-less is a smart choice. BUT…your home must have at least one tub! So, if you have one bathroom, keep the tub. If you have two or more bathrooms, go ahead and ditch the tub for a nice shower.
Take away: Make sure there is at least one tub in your home for re-sale purposes.
